The PeriScope design allows the bike to grow with your children until they’re at least as tall as you are. Simple no-tool adjustments mean that Mom or Dad can ride with the kids within seconds. All PeriScope models feature larger, specially designed  zonally-butted cro-moly tubing to enhance stability, no matter who you’re riding with and to make it fun riding with anyone.

This PeriScope Torpedo model features the superb performance and component selection of our popular Speedster tandem and 700c wheels.  With hand-built DT Swiss and Velocity Dyad wheels, laced here in our factory. Co-motion designed and machined head-tube, bottom bracket shells, self-locking eccentrics, drop-outs, unicrown fork, PeriScope seat masts and collars; all made in-house. Components include Shimano Ultegra kit, Avid BB7 disc brakes, Selle Italia saddles, Continental Gatorskin tires, Co-Motion stoker stem, FSA Gossamer cranks and cockpit.  Like all our steel tandems, the Torpedo has front and rear rack mounts, full fender eyelets and four water bottle mounts. With its ultra-rugged frame, fork and big 29” wheels, the Java is equipped to take on extremes. Getting away from vehicle traffic has never been easier or more fun. The Java’s stout frame and specially-built fork are designed to get you to your most exotic destination grinning widely. Designed with custom super sized zonally-butted cromoly tubing and in-house made drop-outs. With plenty of clearance for large tires and fenders, it can also be equipped with 700c tires for road touring when riding “civilized” and disc brakes make it easy. Of course, front and rear rack mounts, full fender eyelets and four water bottle mounts are standard on the Java.

This special NAHBS edition of the Java model will be built around the Rohloff Speedhub 14-speed internally geared hub, dual Co-Motion self-locking eccentrics and Gates CenterTrack timing belt and drive belt for low maintenance and reliability. We decided to add polished stainless steel S&S couplers to compliment the 17-4 stainless Rohloff-specific dropouts to make for the ultimate touring tandem. Final touches will include a new Co-Motion 14-speed machined drop-bar shifter, Son Schmidt dynamo front hub, Schmidt Edelux headlight and USB powered stem top-cap.
