Hi my name is Dave Hill and after more than thirty years of riding, racing, and wrenching, I started building my own frames from my own designs. Using only the finest materials available and building exclusively from steel, I use lugs and fillet brazing as a joining method. Every frame is custom and designed to achieve just what the customer is after. I enjoy transforming the riders vision into a bicycle that is not only pleasing to the eye but rides like a dream. Road, mountain, ‘cross, touring— no style is left out; every bicycle has its place and can be built to perform its function yet be beautiful. I look forward to showing some of my designs at NAHBS 2013, and hope you enjoy.

Hot Rod Cross Bike:

This bike was built for a customer that wanted a functional cross racing bike but with a lot of style. The top mounted cables will keep the mud at bay while the flame paint job with polished lug work gives it that cool factor.

Check out Adam’s new 96r frame, it uses a 44mm head tube that is tapered steerer compatible as well as my new rear disc mount to keep it out of harms way. The curved top tube and seat stays give it nice lines and the low center of gravity will make it handle like a dream. Available in all frame sizes and for any wheel size, this style of frame provides ample stand over clearance and as always is custom designed for the riders weight and riding style.

Tim’s Road Frame:

Here is Tim’s road frame, it had to satisfy some unique fit issues and look good. The sloping top tube added stand over clearance and the over size tubes gave it the stiffness he needed.

Belt Drive Commuter:

Here is a high style town bike with all of the bells and whistles. A Shimano Alfine 8 speed internally geared rear hub with belt drive, a generator front hub and disc brakes, what more do you need. Maybe wood fenders, a Brooks saddle and grips just to complete the look.

96r mountain frame (Entry for: Best finish):
This 96r mountain frame was commissioned by Mark Brandt of "Spectrum Powder Works" and while I won't even see the paintwork until the show, I am sure it will be off the hook. With a seat pillar and some hand made drilled seat tube sleeves this fillet brazed steel beauty has a "Paragon Machine Works" 44mm head tube and a set of their drop outs as well as enough tire clearance for 2.5" rubber. His geometry choice has a very high bottom bracket which he prefers as well as good stand over clearance with a tight rear end and long top tube. With curvaceous lines that begin at the head tube and finish with the bowed seat stays and a tucked in disc brake this frame has a look all it's own.
