Castle Frameworks
NAHBS Booth: #629

I am Eric Coury, owner, designer and fabricator of castle Frameworks. I live, work and play in Hailey, Idaho.  In the Wood River Valley of Central Idaho,we are surrounded by amazing riding opportunities as well as spectacular mountains.

After spending ten years in a specialty bike shop in sales and as a bike mechanic, I decided to switch careers. I chose metal fabrication. It was my goal to learn everything I could about welding and working with metals;honing my skills by building cars for a private collector in the area.

When I left the world of commercial bicycles, I decided to get myself a custom bike. Visiting with custom bike builder, Carl Strong, I was profoundly affected. The resulting experience offered in the form of a custom bike, inspired me to want to create this same experience for others and the concept of Castle Frameworks was born.

Castle Frameworks materials include the highest quality steel and titanium.  Castle’s variety of bike frames includes road bikes; track bikes – truely built for competitive racing;touring bikes; jump/pump bikes and all kinds of mountain bikes.

My journey has led me to cary on the fine tradition and art of custom bike building.haring the joy of cycling is my passion, motivating me to create the perfect custom bike for you.  I have seen many trends flow through the sport; but I have always found that fit, quality and craftsmanship are the enduring factors that transcend fads.

This bike is kind of a two trick pony. Weighing in at a mere 21.5lbs, this bike is up for racing as well as powering through a 5hr ride. I attribute it's versatility to the longer travel provided by the 120mm fork and the use of 27.5" wheels. I chose to build with steel because it's durability as well as it's flexibility. I internally routed the cable housing of the Sram xx1 group in order to keep a clean front triangle. I chose a simple paint scheme which allowed me play with the pin striping detail. Conceptually, the combination of the longer travel coupled with the light weight is what makes this bike special.
