Finely-engineered and elegant, the Brompton has a full-sized frame, made mainly of steel for strength and stiffness. It is designed to be practical and light enough to be genuinely portable; actual weight depends on model and configuration, but ranges from 9 – 12½ kg (20 – 28lbs).
