Avery County Cycles
New Builder Table: #11

Avery County Cycles is custom steel frame building shop located in NW Denver’s Berkeley neighborhood.

We focus on road, cross, touring, and commuting frames.

Award Winner:
Best New Builder-Avery County Cycles (Award for: Best new builder):
This is Avery County Cycles version of a commuter bike, Colorado style. It is a fillet brazed frame using True Temper main tubes, head tube, and fork blades with Columbus Zona s-bend chain stays and 16mm Zona seat stays. The drop outs and fork crown are all socket style, for aesthetics. There are bosses for one water bottle on the down tube, rear rack mounts, and a boss on the left fork blade for a custom light mount. The basis for the frame design is a 1x10 cyclocross bike with a higher bottom bracket, more relaxed steering, and room for 700x35c tires. However, the wheelbase is shorter to give the bike a quicker feel, similar to a track bike. The purpose of this is to allow the rider to whip around the city from place to place and also have the ability to comfortably enjoy the many dirt trails in and around the Denver area.
